Glass Applique

Service Description

Glass appliqué is akin to mosaic but uses pieces of transparent glass on a clear glass background. This allows light to be caught in the artwork and colour to shine through the finished piece. You do not need to be able to cut glass; if your hands are not strong enough, you can still make something beautiful as pre-cut pieces of glass will be supplied. Glass appliqué is ideal for complete beginners as your pieces of glass do not need to fit accurately together as the spaces between them will be filled with grout. Within the workshop you will make a framed glass panel of around A6 size, suitable for display in a light source.
