Service Description

Paste papers are one of the earliest methods used to decorate paper, dating back to mid-16th century Germany, France, and Italy. They were used primarily in book binding as cover and end papers. In recent years paste papers have had a resurgence among contemporary artists using the techniques to create a variety of additional art forms in an endless variety of applications, including decorative covering for walls, boxes, frames, journals, cards and stationery. Materials list Participants will need:- • Wallpaper paste. (Amazon £2) • Coloured paper A4 pad (The works £1) • Acrylic Paints. Set of 6 (The works £4) • Flat wide brush. Set of 3 (The works £3) • Newspapers to protect surfaces. • Cling film • Tubs to mix paint • Old credit Card or similar • Scissors • Container to store paste mixture • Foam Stamps/stencils (optional)
