Y Ty Celf are very pleased to be working with Carmarthenshire County Council, Coleg Sir Gar and Adult Learning Wales on the Multiply/ Herio Project. This is an exciting opportunity for Y Ty Celf to facilitate and deliver a 10 week programme of creative workshops, designed to develop self-confidence in numeracy as well as creative skills.

The focus in on self exploration and confidence building through creativity and the programme is looking at how and where numeracy occurs in creativity for example, Consider lines, shapes, angles and position to create mandalas, design a stained glass/ copper foil piece by measuring, cutting accurately, considering waste and cost, designing sculptures calculating height, breadth and ratios as well as colour mixing, jewellery design and making and how to prepare your canvas / paper for composition using measurements.
The programme is delivered in a safe, non-judgemental atmosphere and embeds a diverse range of skills and techniques to develop self confidence and esteem, including mindfulness, gratitude journaling, managing stress and breathing techniques, each participant will have a journal and sketchbook that will record their journey and progress culminating in a public exhibition to showcase the work produced along the way.
